Reflection 3

A constructive tool is a tool that helps students build their knowledge, skills, and understanding on their previous knowledge through active participation. These tools promote collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They are designed to support learning by encouraging students to create, share ideas, and learn from each other.

Constructive tool helps in active learning among the learner whereby they use computer computer-based tool that can help them construct their own knowledge by relying on their prior knowledge as this tool can promote personalized learning whereby learner can take their own time to their own their own and construct their own knowledge that can last for a longer period. I will integrate by letting students construct a simulation by using software like H5P and letting children make logos, cards, and decorations by using a desktop publisher

C-map as the constructive tool

The constructive tool that I will be using will be C-maps, or mind mapping, in the literature.

C-maps are the digital tool that enables the learner to brainstorm their idea and make a simple listing that includes the key concepts, ideas and what they want to learn. By learning something related to the content, learner try to convert their idea into a web-like structure as shown in the picture above. By doing the c-maps, it enables them to organize their idea in a structured manner and even helps in future reference by comprehending better.

Adopting C-maps will help students to remember the concepts better and for a longer period. Learner has full rights over what they want to put in their work and it also includes tools that can help them edit their earlier works, helping them add more detail in their work, improving the quality and content of their work. But some disadvantages of C-maps can be having difficulty creating a complicated C-maps can confuse the learner when they refer in future, thereby, taking time to organize all essential ideas in a structured way and sometimes not knowing how to operate C-maps can have negative effects like low self-esteem, frustration and loss of interest in learning in the classroom as idea becomes complicated.

All in all, C-maps would help in learning and engaging students in their complex concepts and as a future teacher, I  would use it to boost learning.
